Quick answer
A dental check-up at our Gongdeok clinic takes about 30 minutes. Dr. Kang examines your teeth, gums and bite, takes an X-ray or 3D scan only if it helps, and explains the findings in English. You get a clear answer on what needs attention now and what can safely wait until you're home, with fees confirmed before any treatment.
What happens at the check-up
- A few questions about pain, sensitivity and past dental work
- An examination of every tooth, your gums and your bite
- A panoramic X-ray or 3D CT only when it helps the diagnosis
- Findings shown on screen and explained in plain English
- Copies of your X-rays and notes on request, for your dentist at home
General treatment on the same day
Small fillings, sensitivity treatment and minor repairs can often be done in the same visit. Anything larger is explained with options and fees, and you decide what to do now and what to leave for later.
No overtreatment
We only recommend treatment your teeth need. If something can wait until you're home, we say so. Ask us anything: what happens if I wait, what are the alternatives, and what does each option cost.
Who it's for
- Travellers who haven't had a check-up for a while
- Foreign residents looking for a dentist who explains things in English
- Anyone with a small worry, such as sensitivity, a rough edge or bleeding gums, that they want checked before it becomes a problem
Consultations are in English or Korean.
Questions patients ask
How much does a check-up cost?
Without Korean insurance, a consultation and examination with the director is ₩27,000 when booked online (regular ₩30,000). A panoramic X-ray is ₩18,000 and a 3D CT ₩55,000, only if needed.
Do I need Korean health insurance?
No. Visitors pay the fee directly. Foreign residents enrolled in Korean National Health Insurance may have part of the cost covered. We confirm fees before treatment.
Will I need an X-ray?
Only if it helps the diagnosis. We tell you before taking an X-ray or 3D scan.
Can I get my records to take home?
Yes. Ask for copies of your X-rays and treatment notes and we'll prepare them for your dentist at home.
Can I book a check-up and scaling together?
