2. What we collect
- Appointment request form: name, phone number, email address (optional), preferred date and time, whether you live in Korea or are visiting, travel dates, preferred contact method, reason for visit, your message and the language of the page.
- Health information you choose to write in the reason or message fields. This is sensitive information under Korean law, and we process it only with the consent you give by ticking the consent box.
- Technical data needed to deliver the website securely, such as IP address and browser type, processed by our hosting provider.
- Your language choice, stored only in your own browser (localStorage). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
3. Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, arrange and confirm your appointment and prepare for your visit.
- To contact you about that appointment by the method you chose.
- We do not use your information for marketing unless you separately agree, and we never sell it.
4. How long we keep it
Appointment requests that do not lead to a visit are deleted within one year of the request, or sooner if you ask. If you are treated at the clinic, your medical records are kept for the periods required by the Korean Medical Service Act (for example, 10 years for clinical records).
5. Service providers and overseas transfer
We use the following providers to run this website. They process data only on our behalf:
- Formspree, Inc. (United States): receives appointment request forms and forwards them to our email. Items: all fields of the form. Transferred over the internet at the moment you submit the form. Kept until we delete it within the period in section 4.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (United States, global network): website hosting, delivery and security. Items: technical data such as IP address. Processed while you use the site.
- Medion online booking and chat service: if you use the “Book” or “Chat” links, the information you enter there is handled under that service’s own privacy terms.
If you do not want your information transferred abroad, please contact us by phone or visit the clinic instead of using the online form.
6. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or ask us to stop processing it, by emailing mg@medinext.co.kr or calling the clinic. We will respond within 10 days. You can withdraw consent at any time. If you have concerns, you can also contact the Personal Information Infringement Report Center (privacy.kisa.or.kr, call 118 in Korea).
7. Security
This website uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Only clinic staff who need the information to arrange your care can access appointment requests.
8. Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with its effective date. If the language versions differ, the Korean version applies.
