Quick answer
Yes. At our Gongdeok clinic a ceramic crown, inlay or onlay can be made and fitted in one appointment. The tooth is prepared and scanned, the restoration is designed on screen and milled from a ceramic block in the clinic, then bonded the same day. You don't wear a temporary crown or come back for a second visit.
When a same-day restoration fits
- A broken or cracked tooth
- A large filling that has failed or fallen out
- A tooth that needs a crown after root canal treatment
- A short trip, when you can't wait two weeks for a dental lab
How the appointment runs
- Examination and, if needed, an X-ray or 3D scan
- The tooth is prepared and scanned digitally, with no impression paste
- The crown or inlay is designed on screen and milled from a ceramic block in the clinic
- It is tried in, adjusted to your bite and bonded
- You leave with the final restoration and aftercare advice
Inlay, onlay or crown?
We keep as much natural tooth as we can. An inlay or onlay replaces only the damaged part of the tooth, while a crown covers the whole tooth when too little strong structure is left. Small damage may only need composite bonding. We show you the options and fees before starting.
Same-day or lab-made?
Chairside ceramic suits most back teeth and many front teeth. For some complex front-tooth cases or bridges, a lab-made restoration gives a better result. If that applies to you, we explain why and what it means for your travel plans.
Consultations are in English or Korean.
Questions patients ask
How much is a same-day crown?
A same-day ceramic crown is ₩520,000 per tooth when you book online (regular ₩550,000). A same-day inlay or onlay is ₩330,000 (regular ₩350,000), and composite bonding starts at ₩75,000. The fee is confirmed after the examination.
Is a same-day crown as strong as a lab-made one?
Milled ceramic is strong enough for everyday chewing on most teeth. How long it lasts depends on your bite, habits and oral hygiene. We tell you if your case is better suited to a lab-made crown.
Does it hurt?
The tooth is numbed with a local anaesthetic, so most people feel pressure rather than pain. The tooth can feel a little sensitive for a few days afterwards.
Do I need a root canal first?
Not usually. Root canal treatment is needed only if the nerve is infected or badly damaged, which the examination and X-ray show. We explain this before any treatment.
Can I fly the next day?
Yes. The restoration is bonded before you leave, so there is nothing temporary to come loose on the flight.
